What is going to change in Twitter after Musk’s arrival?

It was a moment that hardly anyone expected. Nobody thought that this would happen. But after months of drama, Elon Musk finally announced that his deal to buy Twitter was complete.

Elon Musk himself gave this big news on Twitter. In this, he also changed his bio and called himself ‘Chief Tweet’. Simultaneously he announced

‘The bird is free now’.

According to Musk, the work of the deal has been completed.

It is reported that Musk has removed its CEO Parag Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Siegel and legal and policy executive Vijay Gadde. Chairman Brett Taylor’s LinkedIn profile is also showing that he is no longer in this company.

So now what will Musk’s Twitter look like next?

digital town square Musk wrote the message to his potential advertisers in a very polite, out of his nature. He said the purpose of buying Twitter was to “help humanity”.

He writes, “I want this civilization to have a ‘digital town square’. However, he has also admitted that his mission may fail.

Actually, he has written this thing to those people who advertise on Twitter. This suggests that they intend to at least maintain Twitter’s digital advertising business model for the time being.

Despite this, Twitter’s earnings have started declining like Google’s company Alphabet and Facebook’s company Meta.

Due to the global financial crisis and reduced marketing spending by the companies, now these companies are getting less cash.

controversial twitter handle

Musk has been enthusiastic about reducing moderation in the past so that as many votes as possible get a chance to express themselves freely. (Twitter has been accused of promoting left-leaning liberal messages, which the company has consistently denied.)

He may even reinstate some controversial Twitter handles. Some handles previously closed by Twitter can be restored. These include former US President Donald Trump and his friends like Kane West.

I am not sure about this. Musk doesn’t say it openly. But it did say, “This platform will be kept more open. It has to be in accordance with the laws of the countries. However, this will not be a place where all kinds of wrongdoings will be allowed.

West’s Twitter handle was permanently banned for anti-Semitism and Trump’s handle for inciting violence.

spam and bots

Musk also took a stand against spam numbers and bot accounts. They believed that they were scattered all over the site.

Twitter has always opposed the fact that it is exaggerating the number of its accounts.

Musk can now order their removal in large numbers. However, this move will reduce the number of followers of everyone on Twitter. Musk’s move may be unpopular.

Musk meanwhile indicated that he was going to form a new company – the company was named – “X, the Everything Ape”. It was believed that Twitter was being bought for this purpose.

Musk did not elaborate on this, but many believed that he wanted to create a super app like China’s WeChat.

WeChat is a one stop app that allows you to buy financial products and even order food along with social media messaging. That is, everything you need in one app.

Nothing like this has come up in Western countries so far. However, it can be said that Meta’s WhatsApp and Facebook messages have landed in this type of service because of their multiple functions.
