Saudi Arabia announces $ 400 million aid to Ukraine fighting Russia
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced $400 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The Crown Prince spoke on the phone with the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky. The Crown Prince assured the President of Ukraine that Saudi Arabia was ready to continue its mediation efforts to defuse the conflict.
Vladimir Zelensky thanked the Crown Prince for Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid and for voting Ukraine in the UN General Assembly.
The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution criticizing Russia’s occupation of Ukraine’s territories in which Saudi Arabia voted against Russia and in favor of Ukraine.
Zelensky also praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to find a solution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
The US has also announced a US $ 750 million military aid package for Ukraine. The US has so far given more than $ 18 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
