In the world’s largest iPhone factory, Foxconn, the Covid rules were relaxed… the workers did the agitation
Taiwan’s tech company Foxconn (Foxconn) has eliminated the “close loop” system in its world’s largest iPhone factory (iPnone Factory) in China for several months. This decision has been taken after China relaxed the Zero-Covid regulation across the country. Earlier in the week, the Chinese government had ended mass testing in most places and ended the need for lockdown to create a normal life. After this, the three-year sanctions in China have been eased, due to which the country’s economy and people have suffered a lot
Lockdown was continued for the last 56 days in the Foxconn factory located in central Zhengzhou after some cases of Kovid were found. In this, the laborers were only allowed to go from their dormitory to the place of work in the factory in a shuttle bus.
In the middle of November, the laborers staged violent protests over salary and working conditions. Hundreds took out rallies and some clashed with anti-riot police and health workers.
