Behind the Scenes Tom Cruise Uncomfortable with Kick Stunt Involving Pom Klementieff

The Asian Hockey Federation has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Champions Trophy, which is set to take place in Chennai, India, from August 3 to 12.

During the filming of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, actress Pom Klementieff revealed that Tom Cruise was hesitant to perform a kick stunt with her.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pom shared her experience, stating, “I suggested to Tom that he could kick me in a certain spot during our scene. I reassured him that I was prepared and ready for it, but he declined, saying, ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ I insisted it would enhance the authenticity of the scene, but he still wouldn’t do it.”

Pom, who portrays the character Paris in the upcoming Mission Impossible 7, explained that she had requested the stomach kick during a fight sequence involving Tom’s character, Ethan Hunt.

The star of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also revealed that her character in the new film is described as “a destructive force, a rebel, a skilled killer, and quite solitary.”

Furthermore, Pom shared that her character’s name in the movie is “an homage to Leonard Nimoy, who famously portrayed the character Paris in the original Mission: Impossible TV series.”

“When Christopher McQuarrie selected me for the role, the character’s name had not yet been decided,” Pom added.

She went on to explain, “It was interesting that they chose to name me Paris, considering my French background, and then they decided that my character would speak French since I speak the language fluently in real life.”

In other news, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 12.
