America is giving Patriot missiles to Ukraine, Russia has given this warning
America is going to give Ukraine a weapon that will give it a new edge in its war against Russia. There are reports that America is going to announce it on Thursday itself.
Apart from this, the American newspaper Washington Post has written that the US is preparing to send more high-tech weapons to Ukraine.
These also include precision smart bombs that target accurately. Russia has strongly objected to these efforts of America. Russia has said that any kind of foreign weapons, including Patriot missiles, will be targeted by Ukraine in the war.
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has said on Thursday that every weapon given to Ukraine by Western countries will be a legitimate target of Russia.
In his weekly press conference, he said, “We want to remind people that we will target Ukrainian-supplied weapons. We have repeated this many times.”
He said, “The United States is putting pressure on NATO members to send weapons to Ukraine. In a meeting in Bucharest on November 30, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that so far NATO has sent weapons worth 40 billion dollars to Ukraine. . This is equivalent to France’s defense budget in 2022.”
The Embassy of Russia in America has also said that this is a provocative action which may have unexpected consequences.
In its statement, the embassy wrote, “Continuous supply of weapons gives Zelensky more power to commit crimes against civilians. Even without the supply of Patriot missiles, the US continues to plunge into the war in Ukraine. US military specialists reach there.” Mercenaries from America are also fighting in Ukraine.”
Russia says that the American strategy is not only damaging the Russian-American relations, but it is also endangering the international security.
The embassy said in its statement, “The responsibility for the prolongation and intensification of the Ukraine war is the responsibility of the Americans.”
There is no doubt that this missile will strengthen Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Patriot is a surface-to-air missile. PATRIOT (Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target) is the world’s best missile defense system. These missiles travel at five times the speed of sound.
This missile reaches supersonic speed within a few seconds. In common language, it hits the enemy’s missile as if a bullet fired from a gun collides with another bullet.
The US has so far sold this missile system to Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Taiwan, Greece, Spain, UAE, Qatar, Romania and Sweden.
The Patriot missile first came into discussion after the 1991 Gulf War. This missile destroyed Saddam Hussein’s Scud missiles in the first Gulf War. They have been used in the second Iraq war as well.
In 2014, Israel shot down a Syrian Sukhoi fighter jet with this missile.
This is the proof of how much power this missile is going to give to Ukraine. Through this, Ukraine can now target high-tat fighter jets like Russia’s Sukhoi.
One thing is clear from this step of America, it can definitely change the direction of the war.
Ukraine thinks that its danger in the war against Russia is not from the ground but from the air attacks. Russia has been launching aerial attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure in recent days.
BBC correspondent Jonathan Beale says, “Russia has targeted Ukraine’s power plants, cutting off electricity and water supplies to millions of homes this winter.”
In recent months, Ukraine has also received many advanced weapons from other countries.
Jonathan Beale explains, “Ukraine has got NASAM and Iris-T systems. But Ukraine needs more weapons. It needs air defense systems in particular. It can protect its urban power plants from Russian attacks.” At the same time, on the frontline of the war, it can weigh heavily on Russia. At this time, Russia is not able to do both these things.”
Ukraine has already been asking America for Patriot missiles. But the threat of Iran giving long-range ballistic missiles to Russia has changed the situation.
But Ukraine will not get many missiles. This system is in demand all over the world and is also very expensive. It also requires a lot of training in its care and operation.
