Quad countries come closer: First Youth Fellow Squad congratulated by US NSA

Washington: America’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Jake Sullivan has congratulated the first batch of Quad Fellows from Australia, India, Japan and America, saying that the young fellows will bring the Quad countries closer. The leaders of the Quad countries started the ‘Quad Fellowship’ in May this year, which is the first scholarship program of its kind. It has been prepared with the aim of establishing dialogue between the next generation of scientists and technologists of the four member countries.

Under the ‘Quad Fellowship’, scholarships are awarded to 100 students aspiring to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees from America’s leading STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) universities every year. These include 25 students from each member country.

“Today we are extremely proud to welcome a group of 100 diverse, multidisciplinary, inspiring and exceptional students,” Sullivan said in a statement Friday. These include 25 students from each of the Quad countries, who represent the next generation of great STEM professionals.” Sullivan appreciated the participation of fellow members.

“Each of these fellows demonstrates their commitment to advancing innovation and collaboration among our four great democracies,” Sullivan said. He has also demonstrated enthusiasm towards building a better tomorrow for the Indo-Pacific region as well as the entire world.”

Sullivan said, “The Quad partnership has been taken to unprecedented heights under President Joe Biden’s administration and will continue to grow in the years to come. These youth will bring the Quad countries closer. Looking at his passion, we are sure that our future is in good hands.”
