United States: Seven people were killed and several injured in a shooting at a shopping mall in the state of Virginia
At least seven people have been killed and several injured in a shooting incident at a Wal-Mart shopping center in the city of Chesapeake, Virginia, USA.
City officials have said that the attacker is believed to be a shopping mall manager who also killed himself after the shooting.
The attack happened at 22:12 local time (03:12 GMT), police said.
This is the second major shooting in the US in less than a week. A week ago, 5 people were killed in a shooting at a club in Colorado.
It is still unclear what motivated the attack
In footage released of the incident, a witness wearing a Wal-Mart uniform said he had left a staff room when a manager entered and opened fire.
The witness said: “Sadly we lost a few of our comrades.”
The man clarified that he did not know how many of his colleagues had been shot.
