Instagram Embraces Broadcast Channels Global Rollout Comparable to Telegram

Meta Launches Broadcast Channels on Instagram, Enabling Creators to Share Text, Images, Videos, and Audio

Meta, the parent company of Instagram, has introduced broadcast channels to the platform, allowing creators to send one-way messages that include text, images, videos, and audio. This feature is now being rolled out globally, following its initial availability to a select group of creators.

Through broadcast channels, users can send messages to their followers, who will have the ability to react and participate in polls. However, followers will not be able to reply or respond directly to the messages. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, announced the worldwide launch of this feature.

Zuckerberg highlighted that creators can utilize the broadcast channels not only for sending text messages but also for sharing visual content such as images, videos, and audio clips. Additionally, creators have the option to invite others as collaborators to join the channel.

Recently, Meta also introduced Channels to WhatsApp, initially targeting organizations but with plans for global expansion. The company is also planning to introduce the feature to Messenger and Facebook in the near future.
