How powerful is Pakistan’s new military drone Shahpar?

For a long time, Pakistan had drones that were used only for surveillance, but now Pakistan’s arms manufacturers have presented such drones for the first time in the ongoing arms exhibition in Karachi, which can be used for attack. .

This arms exhibition is being held in Karachi after four years and the chiefs of all the three armies of Pakistan have participated in it.

Apart from China and Turkey, companies from many other countries are involved in this exhibition which started on 18th November.

Self-reliance in drones The people of Pakistan had heard the name of drone for the first time when American drone planes started targeting extremists in the border areas of Pakistan.

America carried out many drone attacks in Pakistani areas bordering Afghanistan and people were killed in these.

Pakistan had taken the first step in the world of drones with the beginning of making surveillance drones (intelligence drones for espionage).

These drones used for surveillance were seen in the earlier arms exhibition.

Asad Kamal, CEO of Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, a company of the Government of Pakistan, says that he was clearly told by the Government of Pakistan that the technologies for which Pakistan is dependent on foreign countries should be gradually developed in Pakistan. This will save foreign exchange.”

In the last exhibition of “Ideas” in 2018, a surveillance drone named Barak was presented to the world, its work was only to make videos and take high resolution photographs.

Asad Kamal explains, “After that we started working on our next plan. Our army also needed that not only could it see the target, it could surround it and if it wanted it could also destroy it. After that we did research and worked on Shahpar-2 drone.

Asad Kamal explains that “When you assemble a technology or acquire it from another country and after a few days that country stops giving you the technology, then your product remains incomplete and then you cannot use it yourself. Nor can it be recovered, so the basic technology of this drone has been made in Pakistan itself.

Shahpar-2, the deadly drone prepared in Pakistan, is currently the flagship drone of Pakistan, Shahpar-2, which has now joined Pakistan’s Army, Navy and Air Force.

The government wishes to present it in the exhibition and sell it to other countries as well.

Asad Kamal explains that “Shahpar-2” can fly up to a thousand kilometers and can hit its target. This drone can contact satellite, is successful in any campaign day or night. This drone locks its target with a laser and then targets it with a missile.

Shahpar-2 can fly at a speed of up to 120 knots. Its take off speed ranges from 80 knots to 85 knots. Its cruise speed is also 80-85 knots.

Its radius is about 1050 kilometers and the data link range is 300 kilometers. This combat drone also has the ability to restart its engine during flight.

Other drone products from Global Industrial & Defense Solutions include the Shah Par-1, Iqab drone series, which are capable of varying ranges, speeds and weapons.

Pakistan’s Ordnance Factory had earlier made a surveillance drone named ‘Ababeel’. Now these drones have also been made antidote and they have been equipped with weapons.

Remember that in the tribal areas of Pakistan, the local people named the drone as Ababeel.

Riyaz Ahmed, head of the drone unit at the Pakistan Ordnance Factory, told the BBC that the Ababeel series of drones have been locally manufactured and all these drones are capable of operating both day and night.

He told that the Ababeel Five drone can lift up to five kg and two mortar shells can be loaded in it. One mortar is of 16 mm and the other is of 18 mm. It can fly in a range of thirty kilometers and its speed is forty five kilometers per hour. This drone can fly in the air for one and a half hours.

Presenting the Ababeel V-5, he said that it can take off and land vertically anywhere. It is a high-speed drone that can fly at a speed of 120 per hour and can keep surveillance for two to three hours. It also has storage capacity and can carry five kilograms of ammunition, which can be used to engage any target.

Ababeel-10 drone can carry a weapon weighing ten kilograms. Its range is 30 kilometers and it can fly up to a height of 3000 meters, whereas after reaching a height of one kilometer it cannot be seen by human eyes. All three drones can be operated by one operator.

Riyaz Ahmed told that there are three options to control them, in the first there is a portable unit which can fly from anywhere, the second is a dual control unit which will have two operators, one will control the firing camera and the other will control the map. Will operate the drone with the help.

The third option is for single use which has double screen. One of them has camera feed and the other has the facility to give directions with the help of the map.

according to weather and temperature

There are snowy areas in Pakistan as well as deserts, sea and plain areas as well. Asad Kamal, CEO of Global Industrial and Defense Solutions, says that war sees neither the weather nor the terrain.

“Pakistan army has very strict requirements and we have terrains ranging from minus degree temperature to hot desert temperature. Therefore, any such weapon which joins our army means that it can join any army in the world.

He says that these drones are also tested in the northern areas of the country, they are also tested in rain and desert, after which they pass the experimental flight and join the Pakistani army fleet.

Pakistan Ordnance Factory spokesman Salman Khan says that new technology is measured or tested in two ways. One is that what are the needs of the person using these weapons. Both the maker and the user of the weapon evaluate it together and it is technically tested.

Apart from this, evaluation is done in such a way that if we have to make it inside Pakistan, then what kind of existing technology is there, what new things need to be bought.

Turkish drones have also been displayed in this arms exhibition. Apart from the Turkish army, these drones are also used by its allies.

These are used from targeting a person with a bullet to launching a missile.

Apart from this, many types of drones and new weapons were also shown in this exhibition from the Ministry of Defense of China. There are also models of new drones in them. China drone can be equipped with many types of weapons.

Pakistan is one of the countries in the world that manufactures, sells and buys military weapons.

Asad Kamal, CEO of Global Industrial and Defense Solution, says that he has exported weapons made in Pakistan to more than 16 countries.

These include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, countries of Central Asia, Malaysia, Algeria in Africa, Congo, South American country Peru etc.

According to him, he is also interested in the export of Shahpar-2. At the same time, Pakistan Ordnance Factory says that their Abeel series will soon be used in the Pakistani Army and some foreign delegations have also shown interest in it.

According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Ordnance Factory, POF has sold weapons worth more than thirty million dollars to more than forty countries.
