‘Nok-jhok’ between Xi Jinping and Justin Trudeau, video viral
A video of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is viral on social media, in which the two leaders are seen having an altercation.
In the video, the Chinese President is seen saying something to Trudeau in a complaining manner.
The person who translated his words into English can be heard saying, “Whatever we discussed was leaked to the newspapers, it is not right…and it was not the way to talk.
If you are truthful, then we should communicate with each other in a respectful manner, otherwise it is hard to say what the outcome will be.”
This video between the two leaders is of the last day of the G20 conference held in the Indonesian city of Bali.
Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau then calmly replies, “In Canada, we believe in free and open dialogue and we will continue to do so.
We will look forward to working together positively, but there will also be many things on which we will disagree.”
After Trudeau’s answer, both the leaders can be seen walking on their respective paths with folded hands. As he leaves, the Chinese president can be heard saying, “Very well, but first create such conditions.”
A cameraman present there captured this argument between the two leaders at the ongoing G20 conference in Bali.
Trudeau met Xi Jinping on Tuesday. Canada’s Prime Minister’s Office had told that Trudeau expressed his concern to Jinping about Chinese interference in Canadian elections.
Media reports quoted government sources as saying that in this 10-minute conversation, Trudeau also raised the issue of Russia-Ukraine crisis, situation in North Korea and climate change.
