South Korea: Stampede breaks out during Halloween celebrations, 151 dead
At least 151 people have been killed and 82 injured in a stampede after a huge crowd gathered for Halloween celebrations in the South Korean capital Seoul on Saturday.
Most of the dead are young people, between the ages of 20 and 30. Eyewitnesses say that the police had failed to control the crowd.
The injured say that people were running over each other and it was difficult to breathe.
It was the first Halloween celebration in Seoul after the restrictions related to Kovid were lifted.
South Korean President Eun Suk-yeol has visited the site.
The Seoul Community Center has told the BBC that about 2,900 missing people have been reported related to the accident.
