Player Acquisition Plans: Al-Nassr’s €20m Proposal After Cristiano Ronaldo’s Transfer

Reports: Al-Nassr Offers €20m per Season to Sign Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez

According to Sportskeeda, Saudi club Al-Nassr, which secured the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in December, is now prepared to offer €20 million per season to Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez. The 28-year-old midfielder has been subject to potential transfer talks due to his recent underwhelming performances.

After assisting Atletico Madrid in winning the La Liga title in the 2020-21 season, Niguez moved to Chelsea in 2021. However, upon his return to Atletico Madrid, he struggled to establish himself as a regular starting player in the midfield.

In their bid to acquire Niguez this summer, Al-Nassr has presented an enticing contract worth €20 million per season. Additionally, Al-Ittihad has also made a similar offer. Reports suggest that Niguez is open to accepting either offer and moving to Saudi Arabia. His current contract with Atletico Madrid is set to expire in June 2026.

If the transfer goes through, Niguez will have the opportunity to partner with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Brozovic, both of whom recently joined the Madrid-based club. Alternatively, he could team up with former Chelsea star N’Golo Kante at Al-Ittihad or alongside Karim Benzema.

Throughout his career, Niguez has amassed 46 goals and 21 assists in 378 appearances for Atletico Madrid.
