Defending champions France defeated England, will face Morocco in the semi-finals
In the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, France defeated England 2-0 and made their place in the semi-finals, where they will now face Morocco.
France took the lead over England by scoring a goal in the first minutes of the match, and after half-time, while England equalized the match by scoring a goal, France scored a second goal and took a decisive lead.
In eight minutes of extra time, England were awarded a free kick by Marcus Rashford, but his shot went just inches over the goal post. In a few moments, the whistle was blown to end the match.
Aurelien Choumini and Olivier Giroud scored one each for France, while Harry Kane scored the only goal for England.
Defending champions France will now face Morocco, who defeated Portugal on Saturday to become the first African team to reach the semi-finals.
