Kickoff to Success: Inter Miami Eyes Revenue Beyond $120 Million for 2023″
Inter Miami’s chief business officer anticipates the club’s revenue to reach the $200 million milestone in 2024.
In addition to elevating the club’s stature and boosting Major League Soccer’s (MLS) profile, the arrival of Argentine icon Lionel Messi at Inter Miami has significantly contributed to a surge in the team’s financial success.
Messi, who joined Inter Miami in July, played a crucial role in the team’s journey to the Leagues Cup final, ultimately clinching the title in a thrilling penalty shootout against Nashville SC. This remarkable on-field success has paralleled an impressive financial impact.
Despite falling short of the eliminators, Inter Miami is on track to become the league’s highest-earning side, with the total revenue expected to surpass $120 million, as disclosed by the club’s chief business officer, Xavier Asensi. Comparatively, 2022 MLS champions LAFC generated $116 million the previous year.
Asensi also highlighted that the club has already sold out its season tickets for the upcoming year, contributing to his optimism about reaching the $200 million mark in revenue for 2024. These predictions align with earlier projections by the team’s managing owner, Jorge Mas, who forecasted a twofold increase in the club’s revenue compared to the previous season’s $50 million.
