Mountaineering Milestone Sajid Sadpara’s Oxygen-Free Climb of Nanga Parbat Captivates the World
Renowned Pakistani Mountaineer Sajid Sadpara Conquers Nanga Parbat Without Supplemental Oxygen
Celebrated Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara has achieved yet another remarkable feat by successfully climbing Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest peak in the world, without the use of supplementary oxygen.
Sajid, who had already conquered the six highest peaks without artificial oxygen, shared the news of his latest triumph on his official Twitter account.
The ascent to the summit of Nanga Parbat, towering at an altitude of 8,126 meters, was part of a rope-fixing expedition led by a prominent team.
This notable achievement marks the first summit of the mountaineering season in Pakistan.
In May, Sajid created history by scaling Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, without the assistance of supplemental oxygen and Sherpas, renowned elite mountain climbers from Nepal.
As the son of the legendary mountaineer Ali Sadpara, Sajid is determined to ascend all 14 eight-thousanders without the aid of supplementary oxygen. He has already conquered K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-I (8,080m), and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) in Pakistan, as well as Manaslu (8,163m) in Nepal, all without the use of supplemental oxygen.
Sajid’s accomplishments extend beyond summiting mountains without oxygen. In September of last year, he became the first Pakistani to achieve the true summit of Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak.
Sajid’s relentless pursuit of mountaineering excellence and his dedication to fulfilling his late father’s aspirations have established him as an inspiration for adventurers and mountaineers worldwide.
