Beyond the Screen: Timothée Chalamet’s Musical Transformation in ‘Wonka'”
Timothée Chalamet shares insights into his involvement in the upcoming movie ‘Wonka,’ shedding light on the experience of singing for the film.
During a candid conversation with Extra at the film’s London premiere, Chalamet described the entire venture as a “great learning experience,” expressing his genuine enjoyment of the process.
Initiating the dialogue, he admitted, “I loved it.” Reflecting on his foray into dance, Chalamet acknowledged his familial connection to the art, stating, “My mom is a dance teacher, and my grandmother was a dancer. My sister is a dancer, so I was always sort of around it. But there’s a big difference between being around it and having to do it.”
As for the singing aspect, Chalamet candidly confessed that “a lot of auto-tune” played a role in the musical elements of the movie.
Before concluding the conversation, he delved deeper into the overall experience, revealing, “I realized everything I’ve worked on has had a grounded seriousness to it, and here I had to loosen up and play, kind of like I did in high school, but I hadn’t done in 10 years or something. So, that was the learning curve. But once it was in full swing, then it felt like we were cookin’.”
