Thrilling Final Pakistan’s Spectacular Victory against India in Emerging Asia Cup
Pakistan Shaheens achieved a resounding victory over India A, winning the final of the Emerging Asia Cup by 128 runs in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan A set an imposing target of 353 runs for India A on a good batting surface. Despite facing some early setbacks, middle-order batter Tayyab Tahir played an outstanding innings, scoring a brilliant century. His 108 runs off just 71 balls, including 12 fours and four sixes, propelled Pakistan to a massive total. Openers Sahibzada Farhan (65 off 62) and Saim Ayub (59 off 51) also made significant contributions with their fifties, forming a strong foundation for the team. However, India A managed to stage a comeback by taking quick wickets in the middle overs.
In the chase, India A struggled against the Pakistani bowling attack and were eventually bowled out for 224 runs in 40 overs. Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem played a key role, troubling the Indian batsmen and claiming three important wickets, including those of opener Abhishek Sharma (61), captain Yash Dhull (39), and Harshit Rana (13). Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Wasim, and Arshad Iqbal also contributed with two wickets each.
