Worrisome Incident LeBron James’ Son Collapses from Cardiac Arrest During Practice

Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is in stable condition after suffering a cardiac arrest during practice with his college basketball team, the James family said on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old collapsed on the court while training with his University of Southern California (USC) teammates in Los Angeles on Monday.

A spokesperson for the James family released a statement to AFP, saying, “Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update media when there is more information.”

LeBron James and his wife Savannah expressed their gratitude to the USC medical and athletic staff for their prompt response and dedication to the safety of their athletes.

Bronny James committed to playing for the USC Trojans in May, following a successful senior year at the exclusive Sierra Canyon school in Los Angeles. He is considered one of the top prospects in US high school basketball and is expected to be a top-10 selection in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The basketball community, including NFL player Damar Hamlin and Lakers legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, has sent words of support and prayers to the James family. LeBron James has spoken about his desire to play in the NBA alongside his son and has expressed his hopes of extending his career to coincide with Bronny’s potential entry into the league.

As of now, the focus remains on Bronny’s recovery and well-being, and the James family appreciates the support and understanding during this difficult time.
